A strongly influential site
Located at the northern entrance to Rennes, this site connects two major shopping centres – The Centre Saint-Grégoire and Grand Quartier – at the heart of a dynamic commercial zone that includes around 100 establishments.
Developed around the Leclerc hypermarket, the Centre Saint-Grégoire currently incorporates around 50 shops and services brought together at the heart of a tool that was radically transformed following major redevelopment completed in 2012. This included a complete reworking of the site’s exterior spaces and accessibility and total reorganisation of the centre to allow space for approximately 40 new shops in contemporary architecture.
In keeping with the Beauregard quarter, which now has some 12,000 residents, Grand Quartier brings together a Géant Casino hypermarket of 10,700 m2 and a shopping centre of almost 12,680 m2. Created in 1973, this historic shopping centre has recently undergone major renovation to remain in line with consumer expectations: upgrading façades, creating a new entrance opening the site to the Beauregard quarter and welcoming 22 new brands to complete the existing offer with activities based around culture, sport and the home.
